He is the son and successor of the legendary entrepreneur Dr. M.G. Muthu, who founded the MGM Group in Chennai in 1963. As Group Managing Director, he oversees the strategic direction and expansion of the MGM Group of Companies. The group today is associated with diverse verticals including MGM Hotels and Resorts, MGM Dizzee World, SAFL-MGM, MGM Entertainments, Vital Industries India Pvt. Ltd., and other business interests. Anand Muthu has also been closely associated with SAFL-MGM, an IMFL manufacturing business with a presence across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, and Puducherry. In the hospitality and entertainment space, he has contributed to the growth of MGM Hotels and Resorts and MGM Dizzee World, strengthening the group’s connection with families, travellers, and consumers.
